Tracking Stations

InterMet Systems offers specialized products for synoptic, military and research applications:
The iMet-2000 Telemetry Receiving System (TRS) was designed by InterMet according to the specifications of the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). The 2000 is the current state-of-the-art for synoptic radiotheodolites and will replace the entire NWS upper air network. The iMet-2000 has begun synoptic operations in 2004.

The iMet-1500 was completely redesigned in 2002 using technology developed for the iMet-2000 program. The "C" release includes a new digital receiver, solid-state scanner and the redesigned iMetOS operating system. The iMet-1500 is compatible with all 1680 MHz RDF radiosondes including the Sippican Mark II and B sondes, the Indian Met Department Mark IV, and the InterMet iMet-1.

In 2003, InterMet introduced the iMet-1600, an integrated 1680 MHz RDF / 403 MHz GPS system designed for military applications. The 1600 combines the independence of RDF operations with the flexibility of GPS flights, including mobile operations. The system can be integrated into standard military vehicles and meets all MIL-STD requirements.
